The employee who has been employed for at least one year is eligible, from that point onward, to request one financial advice consultation with the designated provider during the period from July 1, 2025, through December 31, 2029. The employees who wishes to do so can receive advice on making financial decisions at various stages of life, for example regarding education, caregiving, or retirement. The consultation lasts a maximum of 2 hours.
The employee incurs no costs for the initial consultation. Should the employee request a follow-up consultation, the costs of that session will be borne by the employee.
Registration for the consultation begins on the website of SoFoKleS (Social Fund for the Knowledge Sector), to which WVOI is affiliated. From the SoFoKleS page, there is a link to the provider’s registration page.
The employer has no involvement in the consultations. For the financial advice consultation, the employee will be asked to share financial and personal data. Since the decision to use this service lies with the employee, the legal basis for processing these data is the employee’s personal consent.
The independence and secure processing of data provided by the employee are guaranteed in the provider’s privacy statement, which can be consulted on their website.
There is a maximum number of financial advice consultations available over a five-year period, linked to the budget for these consultations, agreed upon at the collective labour agreement table. Once the maximum number of consultations has been reached, this scheme can no longer be used.
